Sandwich Partnerships
The Town of Sandwich and Sandwich Public Schools are the gracious recipients of two grants from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. The Sandwich Partnership for Families is a grant funded CFCE (Coordinated Family and Community Engagement) program whose goal is to create a strong relationship between the children, families, community and our public schools. We offer free playgroups, supportive services, referrals, parenting classes and kindergarten transition support. Additionally, we offer the Ages and Stages Questionnaires, a developmental screening tool that provides parents/caregivers/guardians with a quick check of your child’s development.
The Sandwich Preschool Partnership is also the recipient of the Commonwealth Preschool Partnership Initiative from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. The goal of this grant is to provide equitable access to high quality childcare, while ensuring families have multiple provider options to best meet their family’s needs. Additionally, this grant supports professional development for all preschool teachers in the Town of Sandwich, allowing providers to access free professional development in areas that meet their individual goals. Lastly, the Sandwich Preschool Partnership employes an itinerant team of special educators who collaboratively deliver special education services to young children within our community.
